GALHA joins protest at 'cure gays' conference
Representatives from GALHA joined over a hundred other activists to protest outside the Emmanual Centre Saturday against the 'Sex and the City' conference.
The event, organised mainly via the Internet over the course of just 3 days, brought a variety of different groups together to stand firm against the anti-gay messages being promoted inside the venue.
There was a small police presence, but those at the protest were only interested in making their point (as strongly as possible) in a peaceful manner, while the atmosphere was kept fun and friendly by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and others as we stood in the sunshine.
